Job Summary: Avanza Landscaping is seeking a skilled and experienced stone mason to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in constructing, shaping, and laying stone for various landscaping projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Construct and repair stone structures, including retaining walls, walkways, patios, and other hardscape elements.
- Read and interpret design plans and blueprints.
- Measure, shape, and cut stone to fit precise specifications.
- Ensure the highest level of workmanship and safety on all job sites.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and to client satisfaction.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Provide input on project timelines and material needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a stone mason or similar role in masonry.
- Ability to work with a variety of stone materials (natural stone, manufactured stone, etc.) and interlocking pavers.
- Familiarity with tools, machines, and techniques used in stone masonry.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in landscaping or related fields.
- Knowledge of stone veneer installation and other decorative stonework.
- Certification in masonry or construction-related disciplines.

I received a proposal within a couple of days, and they offered me a time frame I could work with. Since I was not available on the day the work was done, they sent me pictures, and waited for the remaining payment until I was able to check it out in person. They did a great job pulling the huge weeds and bamboo, cutting some tree branches, pruning the bushes, uncovering some steps that had gotten covered with dirt, laying new mulch, laying rocks on the path, and doing general cleanup. I got my beautiful yard back! I highly recommend Avanza Landscaping, and plan to have them come back next time I need some work done.
